The Henlays chicken coop brings together the many essential elements needed in a good chicken coop. It was designed to be very user friendly but above all a perfect home for your chickens. Made using recycled materials it truly is perfect for poultry, perfect for people and perfect for the planet.
For POULTRY
- It includes 8 sq. ft of space and 3 round perches totalling almost 6 foot in length
- It can accommodate 6 large fowl or 9 bantams, draft free but well ventilated
- There is one extra-large nest box that multiple birds can share and is lockable
- The ramp is non-slip and strong
- The material is hard and free of grooves making it very red mite resistant
- For security you can choose between the standard locking door that's included or upgrade to the fully automated door opener/closer from ChickenGuard (extra cost of £139.99)
- You can change the long legs and ramp supplied, for short legs. This enables you to use the house for chicks or as a broody coop. As soon as the chicks are able to safely negotiate a ramp, you can change it back into it’s long legged version. It really is a coop that grows with your chickens! Short legs are available to buy for just £85 for a set of four. Simply use your existing bolts to fit.

- Each plastic chicken coop is made entirely of 12mm thick Stokbord, a UK made recycled plastic. It will never rot, fade or go brittle so it’ll last for decades
- Every coop you buy stops 65kg of waste plastic going into landfill
- The metal components are chunky stainless steel and will never rust or need replacing
- The long lifespan of this coop means you save money and the planet saves energy, materials and waste
- It is manufactured in Somerset so we substantially reduce transport pollution, especially compared to cheap imported coops
For PEOPLE
- The plastic chicken coop is raised off the ground makes cleaning easier and quicker, it can even be jet washed!
- The raised nest box makes it easier to collect the eggs
- The area underneath is too high for rats to nest or burrow but tall enough to fit one of our dust baths which are essential for hen health. The area also provides shade in hot weather or a dry area in wet weather
- Its solid construction is maintenance free and will look stunning for years
- It will never degrade into a red mite hotel! It has no roofing felt, easy to remove perches and a removable floor
- Easily paintable panels allow complete customisation. We have partnered with Thorndown Paints who make incredible exterior ECO paints in Somerset. It adheres to the plastic easily and is colour fast and very durable. Paint can be applied with a brush or roller and will need at least 2 coats but it dries quickly and could easily be completely painted in just 1 day. If you ever wish to change the colour it can be easily painted over. The only limit is your imagination....and artistic ability, to be fair
The plastic chicken coop measures approx. 4ft long, 2ft wide and 5ft high. It's transported flat packed making it easier to get it where you want it for assembly. You will need two people to assemble, but provided you never move house, you'll only ever need to put it together once!
Delivery:
We aim to keep the coops in stock for quick delivery. The coops are delivered flat pack via total pallet network and we aim to despatch these coops within 48 hours of receiving your order.
